As Carnival Cruise Line continues to work on the implementation of plans to resume cruising in 2021, additional departures, particularly for the first part of 2021, have been cancelled:

  • All embarkations from Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston through and including 28.02.2021
  • All embarkations on Mardi Gras through and including 17.04.2021

Together with the previous cancellations this means in detail:

  • Carnival Splendor: all sailings through and including 02.03.2021
  • Carnival Breeze: all sailings through and including 07.03.2021
  • Carnival Sunrise:
    • Miami 7 and 8 day sailings from 09.10.2021 through and including 30.04.2022 (excluding the sailing on 05.03.2022)
    • Miami 5 day sailing January 3, 2022
  • Carnival Radiance:
    • 9, 12, and 14 day sailings from 02.05.2021 through and including 29.04.2022
    • 5 day sailings on 23.12.2021 and 28.12.2021

As the cruise industry continues to carefully evaluate the Framework for Resuming Cruise Ship Operations Order issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced an extension of the voluntary pause in U.S. operations through December 31, 2020. Consequently, all Port Miami and Port Canaveral voyages for December 2020 will be cancelled.

Dear guests,

Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled the remaining cruises for the six total ships operating from Miami and Port Canaveral for November 2020.  
It has also cancelled five cruises scheduled to operate on Carnival Splendor from Sydney, Australia from 01.01.2021 through 08.02.2021.

After cancelling all but Miami and Port Canaveral cruises for the rest of the year, Carnival Cruise Line has now determined that November 2020 operations will not be feasible, either.
Carnival continues to work on protocols and procedures that would allow for the resumption of cruise operations, with a gradual, phased-in approach, designating Miami and Port Canaveral as the first two homeports for embarkations.

Cruises currently scheduled for December from Miami and Port Canaveral remain in place for the time being, while Carnival evaluates the situation. 
We kindly ask guests, whose cruise in December 2020 from Miami or Port Canaveral was not cancelled, but do not wish to take their cruise, to please contact us via info@carnivalcruiseline.de or through their travel agency.

Dear guests,
 
Following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) decision to extend its no-sail order for cruise operations, we have made the decision to cancel additional cruises for November and December 2020.
 
Affected are all cruises from 01.11.2020 through 31.12.2020 from all U.S. homeports except Miami and Port Canaveral. 
While operations from Miami and Port Canaveral in November and December are still not certain, we are focusing our initial return to service from those two homeports, whenever that might occur.  Cruises from these two homeports will remain in place, for the time being, while we evaluate options.

We kindly ask guests, whose cruise in November/December 2020 from Miami or Port Canaveral was not cancelled, but do not wish to take their cruise, to please contact us via info@carnivalcruiseline.de or through their travel agency.

Dear guests and partners,

Carnival Cruise Line today announced the sale of Carnival Fascination and Carnival Imagination, which had previously been put on long-term lay-up status and removed from published itineraries.
The sale of Carnival Fascination, launched in 1994, and Carnival Imagination, introduced in 1995, is in line with Carnival Corporation’s plan to accelerate the removal of less efficient ships from its fleet.  This follows the sale of Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Inspiration which took place in July.  Upon return to operations, Carnival will still operate four upgraded Fantasy-class ships – Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise – which feature additional balcony staterooms as well as enhanced dining and entertainment options that are part of the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 enhancement program. 

Related to its ongoing ship enhancement program and the current pause in cruise operations, Carnival also advised guests and travel agents that it is delaying the return to guest operations for four ships until after scheduled dry dock enhancements are completed in the first half of 2021. 

The four impacted ships and resulting cancelled itineraries include:
•    Carnival Magic itineraries operating from Miami will be cancelled until Mar. 13, 2021
•    Carnival Paradise itineraries operating from Tampa will be cancelled until Mar. 19, 2021
•    Carnival Valor itineraries operating from New Orleans will be cancelled until Apr. 29, 2021 (including the transatlantic cruise from New Orleans on Jan. 25, 2021 and the return from Barcelona on Feb. 26, 2021)
•    Carnival Spirit itineraries operating from Brisbane will be cancelled through May 16, 2021, with the first sailing being the Singapore to Brisbane voyage embarking on June 12, 2021.

The members of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) have agreed to extend the voluntary pause in cruise operations in the U.S. until 31.10.2020.
If conditions in the U.S. change and short, modified sailings are possible, the industry may consider an earlier restart.

Therefore, Carnival Cruise Line is cancelling all cruises through 31.10.2020.
We apologize for disrupting our clients’ vacation plans and greatly appreciate their understanding, and your assistance, as we work through these decisions.

Dear Guest,

Carnival Cruise Line today announced the following changes in its fleet and associated re-routings:
 

  • As part of Carnival Corporation’s recent announcement to reduce its overall capacity and focus on ships with upgraded features, Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Inspiration have been sold. Carnival Fascination and Carnival Imagination will move to a long term lay-up status, with no specific timeline identified for a return to operation.
  • Carnival Sensation will move from Miami to Mobile and take up itineraries previously assigned to Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Fascination, with guests on those two ships being re-accommodated on Carnival Sensation.
  • Carnival Sunrise will move from Port Everglades to Port Miami and assume the itineraries previously operated by Carnival Sensation, providing a larger, upgraded ship for short itineraries with the many new features installed during Carnival Sunrise’s transformation completed in 2019. Guests booked on the Sunrise 4- and 5-day itineraries from Port Everglades will be automatically moved to sailings from Port Miami.
  • Carnival Fascination itineraries from San Juan and Barbados have been cancelled for 2020-2021.
  • Itineraries for Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration from Long Beach have been cancelled through 19.04.2021. Carnival Panorama will continue to operate 7-day cruises from Long Beach while Carnival Miracle will operate shorter itineraries from San Diego to Baja Mexico.
  • Carnival Radiance will now move directly from Europe after its transformation and homeport in Long Beach in April of 2021, where it will assume the short Baja Mexico itineraries previously served by Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration. Guests booked on Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration after 22.04.2021 will be re-accommodated on Carnival Radiance.
  • Separately, Carnival also notified its Australian guests that it has extended its pause of operations in that country, and has cancelled six cruises scheduled to operate between 25.09. and 29.10.2020.

Dear Guest,

As already communicated in March, the Corona crisis has delayed work on the rebuilding of Carnival Radiance and the construction of Mardi Gras.

For this reason, the following amendments have been made:

  • Mardi Gras will now enter into service from Port Canaveral on 06.02.2021. Itineraries out of Port Canaveral with departure date from 14.11.2020 to 30.01.2021 have been cancelled.
  • Carnival Radiance’s $200 million dry dock at the Cadiz, Spain shipyard was suspended this spring when the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a nationwide lockdown. Carnival is now evaluating shipyard options to complete the transformation, but the ship is likely not going to be completed until the spring.
  • As a result of the delayed arrival of Carnival Radiance, Carnival Breeze will be redeployed from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral and will assume the itineraries for Carnival Radiance from 08.11.2020 to 24.04.2021. Consequently, guests on 18 Carnival Breeze sailings from Fort Lauderdale scheduled to operate from 07.11.2020 to 07.03.2021 are being notified that their cruises have been cancelled.
  • The transatlantic and European departures of Carnival Magic from 13.03.2021 to 03.05.2021 have been cancelled. Carnival Magic will be moved to Miami and will take over 7 departures of Carnival Breeze from 13.03.2021 to 24.04.2021, which were originally planned to take place from Fort Lauderdale. The itinerary remains the same, only the departing port and the ship will change.

This decision follows the announcement by the cruise industry on Friday that it will voluntarily extend its pause in North America.

During our current pause of operations, we have continuously examined all possibilities to determine whether a planned resumption of operations on 27 June 2020 is feasible.
Although there are positive signs that we are moving towards a certain degree of normality, the point at which we can finally resume operations remains uncertain.
 

It goes without saying that before resuming operations, we ensure that all hygiene and health standards as well as official requirements have been implemented and prepared in the best possible way. We continue to work closely with government officials at the federal level and with officials in the local communities of our ports of departure and destinations to ensure their readiness.
 

In order to be able to guarantee all this, we are planning a gradual restart and are initially focusing our work on a number of selected ports.

taking into consideration the global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnival Cruise Line has decided to cancel the following cruises:

  • All cruises until 26.06.2020
  • All Carnival Sunrise cruises from New York in summer and fall 2020
  • All Alaska sailings through and including 30.06.2020
  • All sailings from San Francisco through 2020
  • All sailings with Carnival Radiance through and including 01.11.2020
  • All sailings with Carnival Legend through and including 30.10.2020

For all cruises departing from 1 August 2020 we offer the following flexible options:

Guests who want to keep their booking:

  • Guests who choose to keep their booking as currently scheduled for departures between 01.08.2020 and 30.09.2020 will receive the following Onboard Credit (OBC) amounts automatically and do not need to contact us. Valid for bookings made no later than 10.03.2020:
    • $50 per cabin for 2 day to 5 day cruises
    • $100 per cabin for 6 day and longer cruises
       

Guests who want to change their booking:

  • For all departures until 30.09.2020, if you decide to change vacation plans, we will allow to move the booking to a new date and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC)* in the amount of the non-refundable cancellation fee:
    • Departures June – September 2020: Move your booking to a future date no later than 30 days prior to departure, departure of the new cruise no later than one year after the original departure. Valid for bookings made no later than 10.03.2020.

*The Future Cruise Credit (FCC) is non-transferable, cannot be used as a deposit or applied to a chartered sailing and has no cash value. The FCC may only be used towards the cruise fare of one booking in the same currency in which the original voyage was originally paid and cannot be used for taxes, fees and port expenses, onboard charges or gratuities.The booking guest shall be responsible for payment of the difference between the amount of the FCC and the amount of the new booking. If the amount of the new cruise is less than the amount of the FCC, the remaining unused part of the FCC forfeits.
